FAQs

Here are some answers to just a few of the questions I get asked most frequently. Don’t be shy, if you don’t see all of your burning questions answered below, feel free to send me a message.

I have a photographer, why do I need a videographer too?

Your wedding day is one of the most celebrated days of your life. I believe that budgeting for an amazing photographer and wedding videographer is a necessity and should be one of the top decisions you make when planning your wedding day.

You’ve spent months deciding on each and every detail to make your big day special and unique. Your wedding video(s) will allow you to relive not only the beauty, but also the sounds and atmosphere of your special day for a lifetime. Ask nearly any bride, and she’ll agree that the wedding day flies by. Avoid the regret of not having a way to experience your day again by choosing to capture your day on film. I’ll work in collaboration with your photographer, so you’ll get the best of both worlds!

Can’t I just have a relative film my wedding or set up a camcorder on a tripod?

The truth is, you could go this route. If you’re looking for a home video type feel and not scared of the potential of bad lighting, sound, and shaky shots of footage, this might be an ok option for you. However, your relative or a still tripod isn’t a trained professional that can color balance, provide ideal audio, and cinematic edits of HD videos of your big day. My offerings are those that are able to be watched like a real movie with professional editing and equipment. I live and breathe high quality video and am willing to go to whatever measures it takes to deliver you a top-notch film that you’ll enjoy for years to come, and you won’t have to rely on an unreliable iPhone or camcorder in a corner to get it. And hey, aren’t your guests there to enjoy your wedding anyways?

How far do you travel?

I cover weddings primarily in the Annapolis metropolitan area and Eastern Shore of Maryland, as well as Delaware, and the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Any travel outside of the 40 mile radius surrounding Denton, MD is subject to a travel fee. Travel fees are quoted on a case by case basis.

What are your prices?

To receive pricing information on my packages, please fill out the form on the contact page. I like to speak with clients directly to better get to know them and their needs before providing pricing.

Who chooses the music for my video?

I will choose the song(s) for your video based on the feel of your wedding. My regular rates apply to songs that I can license on your behalf, which tend to be instrumental or by lesser-known artists. I will do my best to accommodate requests for mainstream music for your video, but additional licensing fees will apply.

Do we have to feed you?

For packages 6 hours or more, I do ask for a meal when others are eating. Hey, a girl’s gotta eat!

What is your turnaround time?

You can expect your final products to be delivered within 12 weeks of your wedding.

Can I have the unedited or raw footage?

I am a believer that videography is an art and giving unedited footage to a client is giving them a draft of an unfinished piece. However, I do offer an extras reel with additional footage of your day that didn’t make it into your wedding films!

What does “coverage hours” in a package refer to?

Coverage hours refer to the time I’m available to film a specific event. Hours start from the time I arrive to your event or location until I leave, including any travel time between venues. These are consecutive hours and cannot be split up.

Can I have more coverage than what’s offered in your packages?

Yes! I am available for hours longer than what are offered in packages. These extra fees would be charged by the hour.
